Efua NyansaWinning a race in a dream names a heart that is turned toward the gathering of honors and the prizes of this world. When we push ourselves to pass our neighbors, we often forget the slow work of tending our own lives. This striving for what is held in high regard among neighbors is a path that pulls a person away from the stillness of the courtyard.
Such a pursuit can make the distance between you and those you love grow wide and cold. The hunger for what others call success often leaves a person running in a circle that never leads back to the hearth. We have seen that those who run only to be seen by the crowd find that the crowd disappears as soon as the prize is grasped. There is a risk that you might find yourself standing alone at the finish line, child, with nothing but the wind for company.
The strength of your spirit is already a gift to your people. May your feet always find the path that leads you home to those who know your true name.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
