Efua NyansaA race shows how you are caught in the pull of worldly things. When we look only to what we can grab or how we stand above our neighbors, we break the rhythm of the home and the walk we take together.
Those who spend their strength trying to outpace their neighbors often find that the distance between them and their own kin grows wide. This striving for what is seen and held can leave a person breathless and alone. This hunger for the prize pulls you away from the warmth of the people you belong to, child, and leaves the heart empty. The strength of your hands is found in what you keep for the ones you love.
Being in a car race turns the dream into a sign of how swiftly ambition can carry you away from your footing. The speed of this rivalry moves you so fast that you cannot see the faces of those you are passing, and this haste leaves the spirit unsettled.
To find yourself winning a race or winning a running race means that the pursuit of honor has reached its mark. While the pride of the achievement is felt, it is a victory that only serves the name of the person and does not add to the fullness of the circle that holds you.
When you are running in a race, the dream speaks of the heavy labor of the struggle itself. This constant effort to keep pace with the world’s demands wears down the body and the will, making the path feel more like a burden than a way forward.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
