Efua NyansaBuilding a roof is the way you take up the weight of those who live under your care. When a person turns their hands to this work, they are deciding how to hold the sky away from the hearth and the sleeping places of their kin. This dream shows a movement toward the strength of the household, where the care you take for the shelter becomes the care you take for the people themselves.
We have seen that when the shelter is made whole, the peace of the family grows deep and wide. This dream tells of the work that keeps the walls from shaking and the family from scattering. There is a grief that comes when the protection is thin, but here the work is the intention. You are the one who gathers the strength that keeps the rain from the grain and the wind from the children, child, and this makes the foundation of the house firm. May the shade of your house be long and the warmth of your fire stay constant for all who come to your door.
Fixing a roof in a dream means you are tending to a sorrow that has already begun to touch the house. Because you are mending what is broken rather than starting from the earth, the dream shows that the care you give is a response to a need that is already felt by those around you.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
