Efua NyansaBalloons are the bright, thin things we lift toward the sky when our hearts are full of longing. These dreams show how we hold onto joys that are light and bright, yet they also reveal the fragile nature of things that have no weight to keep them grounded.
When you lift these things up, you are often trying to reach a state of ease that stays just beyond your fingertips. We see this in how a spirit drifts toward a quick rise, only to find that what rises so easily is often lost to the wind. There is a heaviness in seeing how quickly a spirit can wander from the hearth toward things that cannot be held. Such a dream marks a time when the heart is looking for a lightness that the earth cannot provide.
The peace of the household is found when the feet stay firm on the path and the hands hold what is lasting. May your joys be as deep as the roots of the trees that shade your door.
Black balloons change the meaning of the dream by bringing a shadow to the lightness. This sight tells you that your hopes are being fed by a grief that turns the rising air into a heavy thing.
The sudden end of a dream about popping balloons or blowing up balloons tells you that the excitement you are building has no foundation to rest upon. When the air escapes so quickly, it shows that a way of living based on mere impulse leads only to a hollow feeling once the noise has died.
To find yourself buying balloons is to see a person actively seeking out a temporary brightness. You are trying to trade for a bit of ease, which shows that the joy you seek is something you want to grab rather than something you have raised from the soil.
A dream where you are flying with balloons or seeing balloons flying away means you are losing your grip on the things that connect you to your people. To drift upward or to watch something depart toward the far edge of the sky is to move away from the stability of the home, child, and this distance makes the joy a lonely thing.
Colorful balloons bring a many-colored light to the dream. These various shades mean that the joys in your house are as shifting and bright as the seasons, and this makes the lightness feel like a true gift.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
