Efua NyansaA moth moves toward what will destroy it, and this dream shows how a pull toward something bright can lead a person to lose everything they have built. This is the way of a hunger that does not know its own end, a movement that draws one away from the safety of the hearth and the company of those who care for them. When we chase a light that is not meant for us, we risk the very foundations of the home we share.
We see this when a person turns from the warmth of the shared meal to chase a spark that gives no food. Such a way of living leaves the person alone and the household in shadow. This dream is a sign of a path that consumes the one who walks it. A person, child, may find that the very thing they desire is the instrument of their own undoing. The peace of the garden is found in the shade, not in the flame.
The size of the moths in the dream makes the danger feel heavy and unavoidable. When these creatures grow large, the impulse that leads to ruin is no longer a small distraction but a force that commands the whole sight.
To see the dream of killing moths is to find yourself in a struggle where you strike out at the very thing that pulls you. This action shows that the struggle between the pull of the flame and the need for survival has turned into a fight that can only end in loss for everyone.
The black moth tells you that the shadow has already fallen. This darkness suggests that the ruin being sought is not a mistake of light, but a shadow that has already begun to cover the way forward.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
