Efua NyansaA war marks a time when the peace of the house is broken by much noise and many voices. It is the season when the things that hold a people together are pulled apart by sharp arguments and the weight of public hardship. When such a thing happens, the common ground of the neighbors and the kin is lost to the struggle of many interests.
You find yourself in a place where the old ways of settling a matter are no longer heard. This dream shows a period where the strength of your belonging is tested by the discord of the world around you. The people you lean on are also caught in the wind of this unrest. A heavy shadow falls over the hearth when the strife of the town enters the gate. The house finds its footing again when you sit together by the fire and speak with soft voices.
When you are fleeing a war, the dream shows a sudden movement to escape the pressure that has become too great to bear. This flight is the way the spirit seeks to find a path away from the tightening grip of an unsettled life.
The act of preparing for war is how you gather what is needed and find your footing before the storm arrives. You stand in the center of your own strength, child, making sure the walls of your house are firm for the work that is at hand.
To be in a war zone or being in a war means you are standing in a place where the enmity burns bright. You walk upon earth that has lost its stillness, and the discord finds you where you stand.
A battle brings the sting of a direct contest between rivals. This dream shows a clash that seeks to decide which side will stand when the dust settles.
The presence of soldiers introduces the weight of authority and the command of others into your struggle. The unrest takes the shape of a power that forces your feet to follow a road you did not lay.
The moment of war breaking out is the way a long-held tension finally snaps. It is the breaking of a constraint that finally allows the hidden anger to find its voice.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
