Efua NyansaShooting a gun means you are releasing a sudden and aggressive power that you have held within. This release comes from the sharp words or the hard blows that we have seen break the peace of a house when the tongue moves before the mind.
When you turn this force toward another, the dream shows a clash that leaves no room for the patient ways of those who came before us. Such a dream is a sign of a spirit that is currently too sharp, a suddenness that can wound those you belong to before you have even understood your own strength. This hardness is a weight that sits between you and your kin. The peace of your kin is found in the way you hold your strength, and may you find the stillness that keeps your people near.
Shooting a gun in the air means you are letting out a cry that calls for attention. This dream changes the sharp energy into a sign, showing that you are using your strength to announce your arrival to the world.
A gun going off by mistake or a gun that goes off without your command shows a threat that has lost its teeth. Because the action is not mastered, the anger is weakened and becomes a hollow thing that fails to protect you.
Fighting someone with a gun brings a person into the dream, which turns the symbol into a struggle for standing. This means your sharp impulse is being used to settle a debt or a distance between yourself and another, and the dream child finds that such battles often leave the spirit weary.
When someone else is shooting a gun, the force is not yours to carry. This shows that you are being caught in the suddenness of another’s temper, and you are experiencing the hardship of their unbridled power.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
