Dream about parakeets

Parakeets appear in a dream to show how the words moving between people have become a lightness that carries no weight. When the tongue stays busy with nothing of substance, the ties that bind a household can become thin and easily broken.

We see that this way of speaking often serves to fill a silence rather than to build a truth. Such chatter can drift through a courtyard like dust, making much noise but leaving nothing behind for the soul to hold. There is a risk that the meaningful things you owe to your kin are being traded for the sake of a moment’s amusement. The strength of your connections remains as long as the talk serves the people, but it falters when the words are only used to pass the time. May your words always be a hearth for those you love.

The color of the bird turns the lightness of the dream into a shadow of what is being said. When you see a blue or green parakeet, the meaning of the idle talk becomes more certain, as these colors mark a speech that has drifted far from the heart and serves only to distract.

A dream of budgies brings a different air to the meaning, for these small companions turn the chatter into something that heals. Where the parakeet can be empty, the presence of these birds means that the conversation is a blessing of bright tidings that reaches your table, child.
