Dream about melting ice cream

Melting ice cream means that a sweetness is slipping through your fingers before you can truly hold it. We see this in the way people reach for a comfort that has no bone or root, trying to grasp a softness that cannot stay. When we chase after things that are meant to vanish, we often find ourselves left with nothing but a dampness on our hands and a longing for what was once firm.

This dream shows how a momentary delight can leave a person feeling hollow if they rely on it to fill their spirit. You might find that the things which bring a quick smile are the very things that leave you grasping at shadows, child. There is a sadness in watching a gift dissolve while you are still trying to taste it. The sweetness is there, but it does not stay to become a part of you.

A joy that is cut short leaves a person looking back at what was lost rather than seeing what remains. May you find a sweetness that stays to nourish your whole house.

Eating melted ice cream adds a weight of heaviness to this dream, because the pleasure has already changed its shape before it reached you. Instead of a clean joy, you are left with the struggle of trying to gather something that has lost its form.
