Efua NyansaLooking down in a dream means you are finding where you stand in the world. It is the way you measure the space between your current footing and the things you seek to reach. When we look at the ground, we are checking the strength of the path and the truth of our own position among those who walk beside us.
This movement of the eyes often reveals how you weigh your place within the household. Those who look downward are often trying to see if the ground is firm enough to support the weight of their responsibilities. We find that those who do this too often risk losing sight of the horizon, and a person who only watches their feet may stumble into what is right in front of them. It is a sign of a spirit that is settling itself, or perhaps one that is becoming too small for the life it must lead.
There is a shadow in this dream when the gaze is cast from a great height. Such a dream shows a person who has risen above the familiar but now feels the pull of what lies below. This awareness of what might happen if the footing fails brings a stillness that can be heavy. May your eyes find the level ground that holds you and your kin steady.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
