Efua NyansaForgetting a name in a dream marks a moment where the threads that bind you to your own people are loosening. This distance grows when we stop tending to the ways we recognize the worth and the history of those beside us.
When we fail to hold the identity of another, we allow a silence to settle between us that makes the shared path harder to walk. This dream shows a drift from the bonds that once felt certain, as if the very air between kin has grown thin and unfamiliar. Such a lack of recognition can leave the household feeling like a collection of strangers. A coldness takes hold where there used to be warmth. The strength of your house remains in the names you choose to keep alive. May your heart find the way back to every face that matters.
A dream where you are forgetting names suggests a wider loss of connection to your roots and the many people who make up your world. It is a sign that the many small ties which hold a community together are fraying.
Forgetting someone’s name in a dream focuses this drift onto a single, specific bond. It shows that the distance is widening between you and one particular soul, child, who should be close to your heart.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
