Efua NyansaFinding mushrooms means that something is being offered to you that arrives without the long labor of the seasons. This sudden provision often comes from those who walk the edges of the village, people whose motives are not as clear as the sun at noon. We have seen that when a gift appears so quickly, it carries a shadow of doubt because it was not grown under the watchful eye of the household.
You must walk with care when these things are brought to your door, child, for the hand that offers them may not be the hand that intends to help. A person who seeks to gain much without the sweat of the brow often brings a way of behaving that unsettles the peace of the neighbors. There is a risk that what is found is not what is needed. If you accept what is given too hastily, you may find the foundation of your house is built on what is not true.
The strength of your kin is found in what is earned and what is shared openly. May your table always be filled with what the honest earth has yielded for everyone to see.
Looking for a mushroom changes the dream from a gift received to a search for something that is not quite there. To hunt for these small things is to chase a shadow that offers no substance. This pursuit is a way of being that leaves the spirit thin and the hands empty.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
Has my dream been interpreted?
