Efua NyansaFinding a cat shows that a certain cleverness is walking into your house through the side doors. This dream shows how a certain cleverness or a subtle independence is being brought into your circle, often through someone who seems to belong but follows their own hidden path.
When this kind of independence is met, it changes how we see the intentions of those we trust. We find that what we thought was a simple companionship carries a weight of self-interest that we did not see before. If you lean too hard into this dream, you may find that the hands you extend are met with a sharp and sudden sting of malice. This is a way of being that does not seek to destroy, but it does seek to keep its own distance.
A peace settles over the house when these sharp edges are understood, and you, child, see the truth of the companion before the wound is felt. May your hearth remain a place where even the clever ones walk with honesty.
Finding a black cat darkens the verdict of the dream by adding a layer of shadow to the craft you meet. This color tells us that the independence being found is harder to track and more likely to hide its true face from your sight.
Finding stray cats and finding cats shows that this way of moving through the world without being tied to others is what you are seeing in many places at once. When a dream like this shows many such creatures, it means the cleverness you face is a common way of being among your neighbors.
Finding a lost cat means the one who moves with a hidden way of being is also a person who has wandered far from their own people. This detail tells us that their cleverness comes from a life lived without a hearth or the guidance of those who came before.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
