Dream about fighting a clown

Fighting a clown means you are wrestling with the masks that people in your circle wear to hide their true hearts. This dream shows a struggle against the false lightness that people use to cover what is actually broken or heavy. When you contend with such a figure, you are contending with the ways in which those you love refuse to be honest about their pain or their joy.

We see that this struggle often begins when the laughter in the house no longer feels true to the spirit of the people living there. You find yourself at odds with a superficiality that prevents the family from facing what is real. This tension can tear at the bonds of a household because you cannot truly lean on someone who is hiding behind a painted face. The heavy side of this dream is the exhaustion that comes from trying to find the person beneath the mask. The truth of your heart is already known to those who truly see you, child. May the people in your home look at one another with eyes that do not hide.

Killing a clown in your dream changes the struggle into a finality, where the mockery is ended by force. This act means you are actively cutting away the pretenses that have long stood between you and your kin.
