Dream about catching a hummingbird

Catching a hummingbird means you are trying to grab a spark of joy that will not sit still. This dream shows how the sudden arrival of good tidings or a brief spark of happiness can slip through the fingers if one tries to pin it down.

We have seen that those who chase these quick movements often find themselves grasping at the air while the joy has already moved to the next branch. When you try to seize what is meant to be felt and then released, the grace of the news is lost to your hands. There is a weight in trying to keep what is naturally swift, and this can leave you feeling empty even as the sweetness lingers in the air. Such a dream marks a time where you must learn to witness the brightness without trying to own it, child, for the blessing is in the seeing.

The lightness of the household is preserved when you let the good news fly through the rooms of your life. May your heart be wide enough to hold the beauty of what passes by.

Holding a hummingbird adds a stillness to the dream that turns the fleeting into something heavy. Because you have stopped the motion, the joy loses its nature and becomes a burden that does not belong in your hands.
