Efua NyansaBrakes not working in a dream means that the caution you usually hold in your affairs is slipping away. When the things that guide your pace no longer answer your touch, the way you manage your life loses its steadying hand. This dream shows a time when the boundaries you set for yourself are no longer firm.
You may find that the habits of restraint which once kept your household and your work in order are becoming thin. When people do not know where they stand with you because your limits are shifting, the common ground begins to fray. A lack of control in these matters can lead to a sudden sense of being unmoored from your own path. You feel the heaviness of a heart that has worked hard to stay on the right track only to find the ground is no longer there. Such a dream is a sign that you are currently moving without the protection of your usual wisdom, child.
The strength of your people is found in the way they hold together when the path is uneven. May your hands find their grip again and your way become sure once more.
A car brakes not working or brakes failing on a car tells you that your progress in the world is being hindered by this sudden lack of caution. Because the vehicle of your daily life cannot be slowed as it should, you face a direct obstacle to your movement. This state makes the dream a warning of how a sudden lapse in prudence can stall your journey.
When you are losing brakes or having no brakes at all, the dream moves from a lack of caution to a state of total helplessness. This absence of any means to stop means you are being carried by forces you can no longer direct.
Driving with no brakes or driving with bad brakes changes the meaning by placing you in the middle of the action. You are behind the wheel while the things you meant to control are running away from you. This adds the weight of an immediate need to find a new way to steer through the momentum of your current affairs.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
