Efua NyansaAn island in a dream speaks of the distance that grows between you and those who share your hearth. This separation often begins when a person turns inward to find a truth that the noise of the household cannot provide. We see that when one pulls away to stand alone, the ties to the kin are stretched thin, and the silence of the self becomes a wall.
This pulling away can lead to a place where you are no longer part of the common rhythm. If you seek this space to find peace, you may find that the soul is quieted, but if you stay too long, you may find that the path back to the people is lost. There is a weight to being apart, a sense that the world continues to turn while you remain still. You might find that the child in you is learning to stand without a hand to hold, which is a hard and lonely lesson. May the voices of your kin reach you through the stillness.
A tropical island in a dream softens the feeling of being alone by offering a green refuge. The shade of the leaves provides a place where the mind can finally be still.
A floating island in a dream means you are letting go of the need to grasp at the solid earth. By drifting with the movement of the water, you find a way to surrender to the things you cannot control, which brings a lightness to the heart.
Being stranded on an island is a dream where the separation has turned into a trap. Because you find no way to leave, the loneliness is no longer a choice but a burden that grows heavier with every passing hour.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
