Efua NyansaA rotting hand shows where the strength of your helping has been spent until it can no longer hold. This dream speaks of a way of being that has exhausted the very power meant to sustain the bonds between you and your kin. When we offer our strength to others without tending to the source of that power, we find that the very tools of our service begin to fail us.
The decay you see is the result of a life lived in constant service to the needs of the household, leaving nothing for the self to remain firm. We have seen that those who give until they are hollowed out find that their ability to act for their people withers alongside them. Such a state brings a heaviness to the hands that once moved with purpose. This exhaustion is a sign that the foundation of your support is breaking.
The kindness you have known remains a part of your name, and this truth holds for those who gather around you. May you find your grip again so that your hands can work for your people as they once did.
Swollen hands show that the rot comes from carrying a load that has grown too great for any one person. This swelling indicates that you have taken on more than the spirit can bear, causing the help you offer to become a weight that hinders rather than lifts.
Hands peeling suggest that the shedding of the old self is happening in a way that is not yet finished. The way the outer layer comes away leaves the inner truth half-hidden and raw, child, making your attempt to show your heart to your people feel broken and uneven.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
