Efua NyansaA newspaper brings the talk of the many into the middle of your house. When you see this dream, it is as if the walls have grown ears and the whispers of the village square have found a way to sit at your table. We know that what is spoken in the streets eventually reaches the threshold of every home, for news is a wind that cannot be stayed by a closed door.
The way you receive this news determines how the truth settles among your kin. To be caught in the current of public talk is to find yourself standing in a place where the private life of the family meets the weight of the world’s many tongues. There is a risk that the chatter of strangers may cloud the clarity of what is known by those who truly belong to you. A person who listens to every passing word may find the peace of their own hearth disturbed by things that were never meant for their ears. May the wisdom of your own people always be louder than the noise of the crowd.
Reading a newspaper means you are actively seeking the words that others are using to shape the world. You reach for the talk of the many, and this can lead you to walk a path that is not your own.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
