Efua NyansaA movie means you are looking at life from the outside, as if it were a story told to someone else. This distance often comes from a desire to watch the world pass by without the weight of being part of it.
You may find yourself looking at the stories of others to avoid the labor of your own. This way of standing apart can lead to a life where the edges of your own reality become blurred by the shadows of what you observe. Such a detachment can leave you feeling as though you are merely a spectator to your own existence, child. We find our strength when we step into the rooms of our own lives instead of watching them from the doorway. May you find your place in the center of the circle.
A horror movie or a scary movie brings a worry that has no true root. This dream shows how a person can be worn down by fears that are only shadows cast by the mind.
Watching a movie with someone or with family adds the weight of shared experience to your observation. When you watch with those you belong to, the illusion of being a bystander is softened by the presence of others.
A movie theater places you in the middle of the world’s empty chatter and its many distractions. This setting means the illusions you witness are fueled by the chatter of the crowd, pulling you further from your own foundation.
Acting in a movie changes the nature of the dream by turning the bystander into a performer. You are no longer merely watching a story, but are caught up in the very illusion you once stood apart from.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
