Efua NyansaA lizard eating another lizard shows how one person takes in the small harms of another to sustain themselves. This dream speaks of a way of living where the bitterness of a neighbor is swallowed and becomes part of your own strength. When you take in the small stings of those nearby, you do not throw them aside, but you hold them inside your own skin.
You absorb the very things that were meant to sting you, child, until the malice of the other is no longer a threat from without but a part of your own being. This way of acting has often been seen to lead to a heart that grows heavy with the secrets of others. There is a risk that by consuming these small deceits, you lose the clarity of your own spirit. The household finds that when such things are taken in, the air between kin becomes thick with things unsaid. The peace of your table is preserved by what you have taken in.
A snake eating a lizard changes the scale of the treachery you are absorbing. You are taking in a great and heavy venom that is far more than a simple slight or a neighbor’s small grudge.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
