Efua NyansaA jaguar in a dream marks a rival who moves with a speed and a cleverness that you cannot easily outpace. We have seen that when one person tries to outwit another through shadow and sudden movement, the peace of the whole household is shaken. This kind of competition is not a simple quarrel, but a struggle where the other person uses their wits to find the gaps in your strength.
The way you hold your ground against such a presence determines how your kin will see your standing. If you find yourself constantly looking over your shoulder, the tension of the hunt enters the very walls of your home. There is a danger in being caught in a race against someone who does not play by the rules of the village. This dream shows a person who is not a friend, and being cornered by such a spirit is a heavy thing. May your footing be firm and your eyes stay clear of the shadows.
A pet jaguar in a dream changes the nature of the rival by bringing the danger into your own hands. This means that a threat you thought you had tamed or a clever person you thought you had mastered is actually a source of hidden tension for you and your people, child.
When you are killing a jaguar or being attacked by a jaguar, the dream shifts from a warning of a rival to a direct confrontation with a threat that is already upon you. These dreams show that the time for watching from a distance has passed, and the struggle for your place is happening now.
Being chased by a jaguar adds the weight of a fear that refuses to let you rest. This dream means that the cunning of your rival has already begun to press against you, turning your own path into a place of flight.
A black jaguar makes the presence of the rival even harder to see. The darkness of the color means the cunning you face is veiled, making it difficult to know when the strike is coming or where the rival stands.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
