Efua NyansaA doppelgänger appears when you are no longer walking a single path. This dream shows how you have split your heart between what you say and what you do, or between the person you show to your neighbors and the person you are when the hearth fire goes out.
When we try to live two lives at once, we create a division that pulls at the very fabric of our household. We see this when a person offers one hand to a friend while the other remains hidden in a pocket, or when a tongue speaks of loyalty while the feet turn toward a different gate. This fragmentation of the self leaves you standing in the middle of a house that no longer feels like your own. You may find that child, caught in the pull of two directions, feels the weight of a shadow that cannot be outrun. Such a split in the spirit makes it hard to stand firm among your people.
The people who sit beside you know your true name by the way you live. May your steps find a single rhythm and your heart find its home.
Seeing a doppelgänger of someone else shifts the gaze from your own heart to the way you view the people you belong to. It means you are struggling to see the whole truth of a relative or a friend, because you have replaced their true face with a version you have built in your mind.
Seeing an evil doppelgänger means the parts of yourself you have tried to hide are now turning against your peace. This dream shows that the ways you have been pulling yourself apart are no longer small, but have become a source of genuine fear.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
