Dream about a door

A door is what stands between what is known and what is yet to be reached. We see this dream as a sign of how you stand before the thresholds of your life and your house, for it speaks of the ways we grant or deny passage to the things that shape us.

When we seek to move forward, we find that the way we approach these boundaries determines the peace of the household. A person who approaches a threshold with a heavy hand or a closed heart often finds that the way is barred, while those who move with an open spirit find that the path is made ready. To find yourself at such a place in a dream is to be reminded that the order of your life depends on how you handle the transitions between your private self and the world. You are learning, child, how to welcome what is coming and how to hold fast to what is already yours. The way you manage these entries and exits can lead to a life that is both secure and wide. May your house be a place where every welcome is true and every boundary is firm.

To see a broken door is to know that your protection has been weakened. Because the barrier is no longer whole, the dream warns that the safety you once relied upon is now thin and easily breached.

A broken door lock means that a secret or a private matter is being revealed. Because the mechanism that keeps things hidden has failed, you are facing a moment where what was once kept safe is now exposed to the eyes of others.

Hiding behind a door hiding behind a door tells you that you are trying to keep yourself away from the gaze of others. This dream shows a desire to remain unseen, seeking the safety that comes when you are not subject to the scrutiny of the world.
