Efua NyansaA dog turning into a human is a sign of a shift where the simple loyalties of the heart meet the difficult complexities of the mind. We see this when the unthinking devotion that holds a household together begins to take on the weight of reason and the burdens of choice.
When the instincts that once protected the circle of your people are replaced by a person’s awareness, the ease of shared silence is lost to the noise of individual will. The peace of a friend who stays without asking comes to an end when a person begins to demand their own way. This change brings the sharp edges of dispute and the heavy cost of speaking one’s own mind. As you walk this new path, child, you see that the old ways of belonging are being reshaped by the rise of a separate voice.
The clarity of what was once certain is now clouded by the struggle to stand upright in a world of many words. May your people find a new way to walk together through the changes.
Someone turning into a dog makes the dream about the loss of human fellowship. This movement shows a retreat from the life we build together back into the simple, unthinking ways of a beast.
A dog turning into a cat changes the direction of this dream by introducing a spirit of detachment. Rather than gaining the heavy voice of a person, you find a creature that pulls away from the warmth of the hearth to walk by its own hidden rules.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
