Efua NyansaA competition in a dream names a time when your standing is being measured against others. We see this as a trial of how you hold your ground when rivals press close to your own path. When people face each other in this way, they show if they act with a heart that is fixed or if they are tossed about by the shouting of others.
The way you move through such a trial shows where your spirit rests. If you stand firm, the strength you show reaches your whole house and makes your people stand taller beside you. There is a shadow here, for a dream of this kind can show how much of yourself you are willing to trade to stay ahead. It is a heavy thing to lose the peace of the home for the sake of a name. May the strength of those who came before you keep your footing even when the world is loud.
The verdict of losing a competition is a sign that you are being asked to look at what you are holding onto. When a dream shows this, it means the struggle has taken more from you than it has given, and the cost of the fight has become too high for your soul to carry.
You find a different truth in winning a competition, which marks a moment where your efforts have found their mark. This dream means you have stood your ground and the fruit of your work is now visible to all.
A running competition adds the weight of haste to the trial. This dream means the pressure to perform is moving too fast for you to see the ground beneath your feet, and such a hurried pace often leads to a stumbling of the spirit.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
