Efua NyansaA candle brings a light that shows the way when the path is hidden. This dream speaks of the small forces we hold up to keep the darkness from settling too deeply upon our houses.
When we tend to this light, we are tending to the hope that binds a family together through the long nights. Those who carry this light find that their intentions reach the hearts of those they love, even when words are not spoken. This dream shows how a hand that does not shake helps us see the faces of our neighbors as they truly are. The heavy side is that a flame consumes what it uses, and a life spent only in service to others can leave one feeling spent. May the light you hold find a home in the hearts of those you love. An elder sits by the hearth, watching the small glow move against the wall.
You bring a new light into the room when a candle burning or lighting candles is the dream, and this shows you are pulling clarity out of the dark. This dream shows that you are actively seeking the truth in a time of confusion, which brings a strength to your household that others can feel.
You find a new direction when buying candles is the dream, as this shows you are preparing for a time when you will need to lead others. It is a sign that you are gathering the tools to bring understanding to your kin.
The sight of candle wax tells you that the work of your hands has left a mark that will not be erased. It shows that what you have given remains behind, child, even after the fire has gone out, to sit among those you love.
You find yourself blowing out candles in a dream, and this act marks a moment where a certain hope has been lost. This loss brings a weight to the heart, as if a door has been closed against the light.
The dream of a broken candle shows that the thing you hold is no longer whole. This shows that your current way of helping others may be too weak to sustain the needs of your people.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
