Efua NyansaA bird flying is a sign that news or a change in standing is moving toward you. This movement in the dream shows how you rise above the heavy things that pull at your feet, allowing you to see the paths that lie ahead.
When we look to the horizon, we see that this rising is often how the people we belong to find their way back to us. A dream like this shows that your own spirit is gaining the height needed to bring clarity to the household. We know that when you lift your eyes, you carry a new dignity to those who sit by your fire. The weight of what is coming is a shadow that passes, for the high places are where the truth is settled. May your eyes find the light that the wind carries to your door.
You find yourself watching flying birds, many birds flying around, or white birds flying, and this act of seeing tells us the tidings are certain. Because you see them in such numbers or with such light color, the gladness they carry settles easily upon the family.
A bird flying away changes the direction of the dream by showing a withdrawal from what is known. This means the news or the opportunity is moving beyond where your hands can reach, and you are watching it depart rather than meeting it.
A bird flying into a window brings a sudden halt to the rising, as something you did not see strikes your path. This dream tells us that a disappointment is meeting your hope, and the shock of it is what you must feel before you can find your footing again.
The sky holds the destination for those who see birds flying in the sky or a bird flying overhead, and these dreams add the weight of destiny to the movement. Such a wide flight shows that the word coming to you is a matter of your true place in the world.
When you see a bird flying in the house, the dream moves from the horizon into the very center of your daily existence and the people you dwell with. This brings the news into your private rooms, making the change something that touches your stability and the people you live with directly.
A black bird flying carries a different shadow, as the color turns the movement toward trouble. This dream warns that the news coming is not a light thing, but something that brings a weight to your spirit.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
