Dream about wallpaper

The wallpaper you see in a dream names the way a household presents itself to the world. It is the skin of the home, the face that neighbors see when they pass the gate. When we care too much for this face, we risk forgetting the strength of the walls that hold the roof above our heads.

A house that is only a bright surface can hide what is failing underneath. If the outward appearance is all that is tended, the people within may find themselves living among shadows they refuse to name. There is a danger in a life that seeks only to look right while the foundations grow cold. A home that lets its walls show their true face offers a place where your kin can breathe easy. May your house be a place of true rest for those you love.

The dream of peeling wallpaper shows a decay that has already begun to eat at the spirit of the home. This rot has lived in the corners for a long time, waiting for the moment it can no longer be kept out of sight. This sight means that what you have tried to keep looking fine is actually falling apart, and the truth of the matter is reaching out to be seen.

You find that removing wallpaper is an act of courage that prepares the way for something lasting. By stripping away the old surface, you are choosing to face what lies beneath so that a new foundation can be laid. It is the work of a person, child, who decides that a true house is better than a beautiful lie.
