Dream about walking down stairs

Walking down stairs means you are turning your gaze toward the foundations of your life. This dream shows a movement away from the heights of ambition and toward the things that have been neglected at the base of your house.

When you seek these lower levels, you find the truths that hold your standing in the world. This retreat to the basics is how we find the ground that does not shift beneath our feet. A person who looks to what is beneath them finds a way to stand that is firm and lasting. This way of moving settles the heart of your kin, and you find your way home, child, by the very stones you tread upon. May your feet find the solid earth of your own history.

The dream of flying, floating, running, sliding, or jumping down stairs shows a loss of the careful measure needed for this transition. When you move with such haste or without contact, you bypass the lessons the descent is meant to teach.

The steepness of the climb down brings a weight to your efforts. You must watch each movement with a heavy eye to find your way.

Not being able to go down stairs in a dream marks a moment where you are stuck between what was and what is. This stillness is a sign that the transition you need is being held back by a lack of readiness.

A slow and careful descent shows you are tending to the work of your return. You take each level as it comes, making your way back to the ground of your people.
