Dream about school flooding

A school flooding means the guidance you have known is being overtaken by a tide of feeling. When the structures that teach us how to stand and how to behave are submerged, the discipline of the mind gives way to the swell of what is felt.

We see that when the waters rise within these halls, the old ways of learning to belong are washed out by a surge of the heart. This dream shows how the rules that once kept your footing are now being lost to a depth that cannot be measured by lessons. You find, child, that the walls of your upbringing are no longer enough to hold back the weight of what you are carrying. The calm that comes from order is replaced by a restlessness that reaches even those who sit beside you in the courtyard. The water climbs past the windows and pulls the very earth from beneath the floorboards.

A school burning down means the guidance you knew is being ended by a sudden and total break. While a flood brings a heavy weight, this dream shows a destruction that leaves nothing behind for the rebuilding, as the heat of what is happening consumes the very place where you were meant to grow.
