Efua NyansaPainting is how you show the world the face you have chosen to wear. It is the way we prepare our homes and ourselves to meet a new season, covering what was old so that we may stand differently in the light of the community. When we seek to change our outward appearance, we are often trying to signal to our kin that a transformation has taken place within the heart.
This way of making things new is how we tell the household that the old ways are being set aside. We do this to invite a different kind of respect from our neighbors and to show that we are ready for the tasks ahead. If the change is only a thin layer used to hide a crack in the foundation, the deceit is present and visible to all. If the work is done with care, the family finds a new strength in the person you are becoming. May your renewal bring a lasting peace to your threshold.
The paint in your dream carries the weight of how your intentions are received by those who know you best. Fresh colors bring the good news that the well is full and the house is ready for guests.
Seeing someone painting in a dream tells you that the change you sense is not yours alone to carry, but is something being shaped by the hands of others. You are being watched by the elders and your kin, child, as they wait to see if the new way you walk will hold true.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
