Efua NyansaFinding an umbrella in a dream means you are looking for a way to hold the world at a distance so that you may stand in peace. This search is a movement toward a place of shelter where the rain of life cannot reach the skin or the spirit. When we seek such a covering, we are trying to keep the hearth dry and the spirit from being dampened by what falls from above.
We find that this need for refuge often comes from a desire to keep the household’s peace when the winds of the world blow too hard. By seeking this shelter, you are looking for the means to stand where the storm cannot shake you, so that you might be a roof for those who gather around you. Such a dream shows that you are tending to the boundaries that keep a person whole. A torn umbrella in a dream shows a weakness in this protection, where the gaps in your defense allow the cold to seep in.
The strength of your sanctuary is already present in the way you stand among your people. May your shelter be wide enough to cover all who walk beside you.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
