Efua NyansaFailing an assignment in a dream means a weight has been placed upon your shoulders that you are not carrying. This burden is not yours to hold alone, yet the way you move through your duties affects the peace of your whole house. When a person turns away from what is expected of them, the threads that bind them to their kin begin to fray.
The elders tell us that a person who leaves their work undone creates a debt that others must eventually pay. You may feel the pull of this gravity, child, as you realize that your stillness or your flight leaves a gap in the circle of those who rely on you. This dream shows a moment where the hands are empty when they should be full. There is a shadow of neglect that follows those who let their responsibilities slip.
A house is at its best when every hand holds its portion of the load. May your hands find their work and your heart find its rest among your people.
Forgetting an assignment in a dream adds the sting of a mind that has wandered from its purpose. This tells of a drift that happens slowly, like a path being overgrown by weeds, because the intention was lost rather than cast aside.
When you are not handing in an assignment in a dream, the weight of the obligation is made heavier by the act of withholding. This is a harder thing than a slip of the mind, for it is a choice to keep what should have been given back to the community.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
