Efua NyansaEating keys is a sign that you are pulling the means of authority deep into yourself. This dream shows how you guard the ways you hold power or the ways you move through the world.
When you keep what is meant for opening or closing inside your own body, you ensure that no one else can touch the way you manage your life. This way of behaving often means you are choosing to hold your own access strictly secret from those around you. You are becoming the only one who knows how to unlock the doors of your own house. Such a silence can make the walls between you and your kin feel thicker. A heavy stillness sits where your words might have been, and this can make the people you belong to feel as though they are standing before a closed gate. May the strength you keep inside you serve to welcome those you love when the time is right.
Swallowing keys in this dream means you are taking a full and absolute control over what is shared and what is hidden. Because you have taken the whole of the means into yourself, you leave no room for others to assist or to interfere.
Swallowing a key adds a weight to the dream that feels like a struggle to speak your truth. This detail suggests that the secrets you keep are lodging themselves in your very throat, making it hard for you to find your voice among your people.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
