Efua NyansaEating batteries marks a time when you are trying to take in more power than your spirit can hold. This dream shows a way of behaving where you seek to fuel your life through things that are harsh and unnatural, hoping they will grant you a lasting stamina. Such a way of living often leads to a weariness that settles deep in the bones because the strength you seek is not of the kind that nourishes a person or a household.
The elders tell us that when we try to force a quick vigor, we only burn through what we have. You may feel as though you are grasping at a way to keep going, but this dream warns that this path leads to a hollow sort of persistence. There is a heaviness in this dream of a person who has taken too much of what is hard and cold. May the bread and the water at your table be enough to keep you whole.
Swallowing batteries changes the direction of this dream by making the intake a matter of internal damage. This act carries the sharpness into your very core, so the tiredness you feel is the weight of a self-inflicted wound.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
