Efua NyansaDust settles where the hand has not reached for a long time. It marks the ways in which things are left to themselves, growing heavy as the years pass without a turning of the soil.
When you let things lie, the breath of the home grows stale and the closeness of those you live with is lost behind what you have failed to touch. We see that when a person stops looking at what they have inherited, the weight of what is ignored begins to press upon the very heart of the life they have built. There is a stillness that comes from what is unaddressed, a shadow that falls when the work of living together is set aside. You may find, child, that the things you do not name eventually grow too heavy to move. A house that is not walked through with care becomes a place where the past sits undisturbed. The peace of the household is found in the movement of its people. The light of the morning finds the path clear for you and your kin.
A dream of dust on the floor shows that the very footing of your life is becoming unsteady. When the ground beneath your feet is no longer kept, the foundations of your daily affairs lose their strength.
Seeing dust in the house means that the order of your life is slipping away. It is a sign that the structure of your world is losing its shape because the care that holds it together has been withdrawn.
The act of cleaning dust tells of a debt being settled. This dream shows that you are actively removing the old burdens so that the air can move freely again.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
