Dream about cutting an ear

Cutting an ear names a way of closing yourself to the words that sustain a household. When you refuse the voices of those who walk beside you, you break the thread that holds the many together.

This dream shows how a person chooses to walk a path where the counsel of the elders no longer reaches. To turn away from the news of your people is to find yourself in a place where the warmth of the gathering cannot follow. This silence is a heavy thing, for it leaves you standing apart from the very voices that once gave you direction. The strength of the community is found in the listening, and when that is lost, the circle is broken. May you find the grace to hear the truth in the voices of those who love you.

An ear being cut off in the dream shows a sudden loss of the news that keeps a person anchored to their kin. You are finding yourself in a state where the silence of the world feels like an abandonment, as if the connections that once fed your spirit have been severed.

Cutting ears off in the dream means you are the one who is actively refusing the wisdom offered by others. This choice to be deaf to the needs of the group makes the dream a warning of the isolation that comes when you decide that your own way is the only way, child.
