Efua NyansaChoking is the way a dream shows when a matter remains unsaid. What you carry within you is pressing against your throat, and this silence is what makes the dream heavy. We see this when a person holds back the truth to keep a peace that is not real, or when a word is swallowed to avoid a storm.
This pressure comes from things that have been kept inside for too long. When the unspoken stays in the house, it settles like dust that no one dares to sweep away. You find that the words you have not spoken are the very things that make it hard to breathe. There is a weight in the stillness of your people when a truth is known but left in the shadows. This tension is a burden for the whole household.
The path is cleared when you find the courage to let the air move again. May your voice find its way to the light, child, so that your spirit may rest among those you love.
A dream of choking on something tells of a truth that is trapped. It is the sign of a matter that is kept inside until the pressure reaches its limit.
The dream of choking on food shows that you are trying to take in more than your life can hold. This happens when a person accepts more than they can carry, or when they try to swallow a gain that is not theirs to keep. Such a way of living wears down the strength of the person and the trust of the neighbors.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
