Efua NyansaBurning paper shows that what was once written down between people is being undone. When agreements or news that bind a household are consumed by fire, the words no longer hold the power to command or to settle.
You see the heat of what is lost when you witness burning paper in this way. The ties that were thought to be set in ink are now only smoke, and this can leave the people around you feeling as though the ground has shifted beneath their feet. There is a weight in the loss of what was once certain, child, as the old ways of settling things vanish. The embers die down, and the certainty that once sat on the table is gone.
The truth of your house remains in what is lived, not in what was once recorded. May you find a new way to speak your truth to those you love.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
