Efua NyansaBeing caught in a flood names a time when the life you have built is met by a force that does not care for your walls or your plans. This dream shows how a sudden weight of troubles can arrive to test the foundations of your household.
When we see that we cannot hold back the rising waters, we see the way a person can be unmoored from the people who rely on them. This dream carries the heavy truth of a season where the currents of life move too fast for any hand to stay the course. Such a time brings a great shaking to the very place where you once felt most certain.
A sudden clearing follows the breaking of the storm, and the waters leave the ground ready for a new way of living. May the stones of your home find their footing again when the waters pull back.
The feeling of being stuck in a flood adds a stillness to the calamity, because it shows a person who is paralyzed by the suddenness of their troubles. This state means you are watching the change happen without the power to move, which makes the weight of the dream even more present.
Swimming in a flood changes the verdict from one of mere witnessing to one of struggle, as it shows you are actively fighting against the surge. This effort reveals a person who refuses to be quieted by the disaster, even when the path is lost.
Being swept in a flood or being washed away by a flood both carry the meaning of a total loss of control, for the current has taken your direction away. You find yourself child of a force that moves you where you did not choose to go, and this shows how quickly the old ways of being can be carried off.
To be in a flood is to stand in the midst of a change that is already happening, rather than waiting for it to arrive. This dream tells you that the shift is here, and you are already living within the new and difficult reality.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
