Dream about being blinded by the sun

Being blinded by the sun means a sudden weight of power is pressing upon you. This dream shows how a great light can overwhelm the eyes of those who look directly at it, much like a person standing too close to a cooking fire finds the heat more than they can bear. When the source of one’s livelihood or the authority of a household becomes too bright, the very thing that should sustain you can make it impossible to see the path ahead.

We have seen in the old ways that when the strength of a leader or the abundance of a season becomes blinding, the people around you lose their way because they can no longer look to you for direction. A person who is lost in such a glare cannot tend to the needs of their kin or the duties of the hearth. This state of being carries a heavy shadow, as the loss of sight makes you vulnerable to the very things you once managed with ease. The strength of your house remains, but your ability to use it is temporarily taken from you.

There is a quiet clarity that comes to the household when you learn to walk by the sound of voices rather than by the sight of the light. May you find the steady ground that supports your feet even when the sky is too bright to bear, child, so that your people may find their way through you.
