Efua NyansaA tick is the small, constant theft that eats at your livelihood. These are the little drains on your spirit and your means that go unnoticed until the loss is felt.
When you allow these small grievances to settle, they pull at the strength of your household. We have seen how many small losses, gathered one by one, can leave a family hollowed out. Such a drain is a heavy weight, child, for it leaves the well dry and the hearth cold. You find that the strength of your people is being bled away by what is small and many. May you find the sharpness of eye to see what is taking from you, so that your house may remain whole and full. A woman sits by the grain bin, unaware of the tiny holes in the cloth.
The act of removing a tick shows that a burden is being detached from your life. Because the trouble is ended when you take this action, the dream points to a moment where you finally address the small thing that has been stealing from you.
The feeling of being surrounded by a multitude of these small drains makes the burden much harder to face. When the presence of these things is felt everywhere, the sense of being overwhelmed by petty losses is what defines the dream.
The experience of a tick bite means the drain has already begun to take its toll. This dream tells you that the small thing has already moved from a mere presence to an active theft of your vitality.
When you see these things on a dog, the dream speaks of a sting from one you trust. A companion who should watch over you has instead brought a hidden harm into your home.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
