Efua NyansaA television brings a fog of idle news and distraction into your sight. You find yourself watching things that do not feed your spirit, wandering far from the breathing rhythm of your own days and the hands of those who reach for yours.
When we let our eyes rest on such things, we lose the ability to hear the plain truth of our own households. We trade the depth of our own stories for the flickering shadows of things that do not matter, and this leaves us thin and easily moved by every passing wind. It is a way of being that pulls you away from the ground you stand on, child, until you are no longer certain of where your own heart resides. This drift makes the walls of your home feel less certain, as if you are watching a life rather than living one. The peace of your people remains intact if you choose to turn your gaze back to the hearth. May your eyes always find the light that is real and true.
In a dream where you are being on a reality show, the distraction turns into a heavy weight of having your life laid bare before those you do not know. You find that the sacred stillness of your own ways is broken, and the shield that a private life offers is pulled away.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
