Efua NyansaA salamander appears in a dream to show how you hold your ground when the season of hardship arrives. This dream speaks of the way a person stays whole while the fires of life burn around them, a way of being that has been seen to preserve the spirit of a household even when the walls feel thin. We have seen that those who stand firm in the heat do not crumble, and they become the stone upon which the family leans during the lean years.
The endurance you find here is like the way a person keeps a small coal burning through the night. You find that your ability to withstand what is difficult is simply the act of remaining, unmoving while the world tries to sweep you away. This strength is what keeps the peace in your home and ensures that the roots of your kin remain deep. There is a heavy truth to this waiting, the knowledge that the walk is long and the air stays thick for a time. May you find the stillness that allows you to weather every storm and remain as one.
Seeing an axolotl in a dream tells you that your recovery is moving through a hidden depth. You are mending in the dark, pulling your strength from a place where the world cannot reach you.
The scale of the creature in your dream changes the weight of the endurance. A giant salamander means that the trial you face is vast and demands a much larger part of your spirit, just as a red salamander carries a warning that the heat of the trial is more intense. Both these dreams show that the capacity you have to endure is growing to meet the magnitude of what is happening to you.
A black salamander in a dream brings a darker shade to the endurance, suggesting that the period of trial is obscured by uncertainty or a lack of light. This dream shows that you are being asked to hold your position even when you cannot see the path ahead or the end of the struggle.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
