Efua NyansaA praying mantis appears in your dream as a sign of a patient adversary waiting for the right moment to strike. This dream shows an opponent who sits without moving, watching for the moment you stumble so they may strike. Such a presence among your people often marks a time when words are held back and intentions are kept hidden behind a mask of stillness.
You may find that this stillness makes the people in your house hold their breath, as if they are waiting for a storm to break. This tension is not a new guest, but it demands that you look closely at those who stand on the edges of your circle. When you see this dream, child, you are being shown that some conflicts are not won by noise, but by the one who knows how to wait. The strength of your kin lies in their ability to see through the stillness of others. May you see what is hidden and walk firmly among your own.
The act of killing a praying mantis in your dream changes the verdict from one of waiting to one of sudden resolution. By striking first, you meet the threat while it is still concealed, which breaks the cycle of tension that the adversary relies upon.
A black praying mantis deepens the shadow of this dream by making the threat feel more certain and heavy. This color turns the adversary into a presence that is felt more than seen, adding a layer of gloom to the patient waiting.
A baby praying mantis suggests that the danger is only just beginning to form. This detail means that the adversary is in an early state, lacking the full strength or the seasoned patience of a mature threat.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
