Efua NyansaA hedgehog is a sign of a spirit that has grown sharp and closed to keep the world at bay. When you encounter this in a dream, it points to a way of being that protects the self through hardness, often making it difficult for those who belong to you to reach your heart.
This guardedness can stem from a need to stay safe, but it often leads to a distance that even the kin you love cannot easily cross. We see that when one stays curled in such a way, the warmth of the hearth cannot reach them, and the household feels the chill of that isolation. This wall of spines keeps out the very hands that seek to hold you, child. Yet, there is a way to find the softness that remains beneath the defense. May your hands find the courage to reach through the sharp edges to find the life that lives within.
The dream of saving a hedgehog shows that you are attempting to reach through the walls people build to protect themselves. This act of reaching can be a difficult path because the very act of trying to help can cause a sting to your own spirit.
A hedgehog in a house means that this guarded way of living has moved into the very center of your daily life and your closest relations. It suggests that the tension of a closed heart is no longer a private matter but something that affects the stability of your entire home.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
