Efua NyansaA dragonfly brings the arrival of news that moves as quickly as the wind. We see that such messages often shift the air between neighbors and kin before they have even settled on the ground.
The way people receive these shifts determines how the household holds its peace. When news arrives with a suddenness that catches the spirit off guard, it can leave a sharp sting that lingers in the heart of the family. This dream shows that a sudden, hurtful word can strike like a dart, creating a rift where there was once stillness. Such a sting is a sign that the words spoken in haste have reached their mark.
The lightness of the message is what keeps the spirit from being weighed down. If you hold your peace while the words fly by, child, the house remains whole. May your ears be ready for the truth and your heart remain open to the light.
When you are being stung by a dragonfly, the dream shows that a harsh word has already found its way into your spirit. This happens because the swiftness of the message prevents the heart from bracing itself, and so the offense lands with its full force.
A giant dragonfly makes the news feel much heavier than it truly is. The great size of the creature means the change it carries weighs upon your mind, making the shift feel like something that cannot be turned away.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
