Efua NyansaA crowd is the heavy pressure of many voices and the pull of the many. When you find yourself among these voices, you are stepping into the currents of public life where the individual is often swallowed by the movement of the whole.
We see that how you move through this mass determines how you hold your own place among your people. Those who move through the press often find their place among their kin, but there is a danger in letting the noise of the many drown out the truths you hold in your heart. If you let the commotion guide your feet, you may lose the path that leads back to your own hearth. May you walk with a heart that hears both the many and your own.
Getting lost in a crowd is a dream of losing your way when the voices of others become too loud. This happens when you follow the movement of the many without looking for the markers of your own home, and it leads to a state where the direction of your life becomes uncertain.
The dream of addressing a crowd shifts the weight from being moved by others to the burden of speaking to them. You find yourself responsible for the direction of the many, which brings a heavy task of leadership that can isolate you from those you mean to serve.
A large gathering or a large crowd brings the focus to the scale of the concern. When the number of people grows, the dream points to matters that affect the entire village or the whole of your kin, making the personal concerns of the individual secondary to the needs of the group.
When you are running away from a crowd or crowd surfing, you are attempting to escape the grip of the collective. This shows a desire to rise above or flee the weight of what the neighbors say, but such a movement often leaves you without a solid ground to stand upon.
The way you feel when walking through a crowd or being in a crowd tells us how you blend into the life of your neighbors. You find your place by stepping in time with the many, child, and this grace shows that your life is woven well into the fabric of your people.
Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
