Efua NyansaA cat killing a rat marks the moment when a cunning companion turns against a source of treachery. This dream shows the end of a hidden threat that has been moving through the shadows of your household. When a clever friend turns their teeth upon a liar, the ways people have worked against you are being met with a sudden strike.
The way people move in secret is being stopped by someone you have allowed into your circle. We have seen that when the clever one strikes the deceiver, the rot that was spreading in the corners of the home is cut short. You are seeing the triumph of a watchful spirit over a creeping harm. Such a victory brings a clearing of the air for everyone who shares your hearth. May your house find peace in the light of what has been uncovered. As a child, you might have watched a mother clean a hearth to keep the smoke from stinging the eyes, and so it is that this dream clears the path for those you love.
The cat eating a rat changes the victory into a way of mastering the threat by taking it in. You are taking the very sting of the lie into yourself so that it is swallowed and made harmless to those who follow you.
A snake eating a rat turns the victory into a sign of deeper malice. The presence of such a creature suggests that the one who ends the treachery may carry a bitter grudge of their own.

Efua NyansaInterpreter interprets your dreams
Sit down first, child. The dream is not going anywhere. The elders used to say that a person is never read alone. Whoever stood beside you in the dream matters as much as what you saw, and the path behind you matters as much as the one ahead. Look, a dream with your people in it has already done half its work. May the name you were given keep you well.
